This is my 1985 Yamaha RZ500N. The engine is a liquid cooled V4 2 stroke equipped with electronic powervalves. Extremely limited and never sold in the U.S., I am the second owner of this bike, obtaining and importing it from the original owner in Alberta, Canada (it's actually my second RZ500 - my original one being imported in 1985 brand new from Ontario, Canada). This bike is currently registered in the great state of Texas, USA. It is currently insured in California. I have owned it a little over 7 years and it has 13K original miles (I purchased it with approximately 8500mi.) and I rode it daily until buying my Hayabusa (seen in background). Upon purchase I have made the following modifications:
New top-end...all machine work performed by Gary Shumake at Spec II Performance. This bike has never been dumped, and other than normal wear and tear associated with 21 years/13K miles the only flaws are a small dent in the left side of fuel tank (see pics) and a crack in the right side panel (see pics). I also have the factory parts (i.e. exhaust, turn signals, etc.). It also has the rare factory seat cowling. The bike is not on premix and still runs the factory oil injector (Yamalube).
The bike is located in Santa Clarita, just north of Los Angeles. Please feel free to call me at work (310)568-3420 or at home on evenings or weekends (661)263-8136 or at my e-mail:
